Ice Hut Competition


Oziles has some of the best ice fishing in the region!

Qualities that will be judged:

  • sturdiness (skis, weight to size ratio, etc)
  • appearance (finish, unique decorations, etc)
  • overall design
  • interior layout
  • fishing practicality (how well does it lend itself to fishing vs other activities...)

Registrants have to have their name and hut number on our sign-up form by the end of February, no cost to enter.
Huts will be juged by a yet to be selected panel of judges, during our annual ice fishing derby, taking place first weekend of March.
Huts will be divided into two categories:

  • small: 96sq.ft. and under
  • large 96sq.ft and over.
The square footage is total inside including second levels if applicable.

Prize in the small category is a $100 gift certificate at Oziles' and in the large category $150.00
