The public was also invited to attend.

The new ramp servicing east Ottawa at Petrie Island is now open for business. With a concrete base, fixed and floating docks, and buoys marking a safe channel to the river, the Oziles' ramp allows for launching boats in a protected calm water environment.

The boat launch is another step in the plans to offer a full service marina and outdoor destination by the water in the east of Ottawa.

Having a 10 meter wide concrete base with walkways on both sides now means that larger boats have access to the Ottawa River without having to travel out of the city.

The width also allows for two smaller boat/trailers to load or unload simultaneously.

Loading and unloading on an inner channel also facilitates the process as waves and wind have a much lessor impact on the process.

We have posted pictures of the contruction in the photo album.

The ramp is part of our ongoing plans to provide a full service marina servicing the east end of Ottawa.

Feel free to contact us should you have any questions.

Protect Your Boat Against Rodent Damage

By not wrapping your boat properly, you risk having a rodent getting trapped inside and the results can be as shown in the pictures below. To alleviate this risk, let Oziles" take care of your wrapping and winterizing needs. Look to our web site for details on these services from Island Marine. or contact us for more information.

Protect Your Boat Against Water Damage

With the heavy rains it is important to verify your boat regularly. Even with tarps/cover your boat can still fill up with water. An automatic bilge is always a good idea but again is not a guarantee.
